Many of us experience the pain of emotional problems at some stage of life which are often resolved without outside help. At other times, we can distance ourselves from the pain and yes, it does sometimes fell better, but it is still there. It haunts us, always there somewhere somehow. There is no real ease or peace.

For adults individual counselling and pyschotherapy is a process of exploration undertaken by the therapist and client together. Feelings, thoughts, wishes, memories and dreams can all be explored within the therapy using talking and creative techniques.

Individuals can be helped to understand patterns and processes which affect their everyday thought, health, behaviour and relationships. In this way therapy may bring about an enhanced degree of self understanding and enable the individual to find a way of responding to life in aliveness, even if it still hurts.

Emotional problems may express themselves in a number of ways:

Maureen is a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Reiki Master and teaches courses that initiate people into Reiki at all levels, as well as one-to-one healing. She has also compleated two years of training in Transpersonal psychology and healing, "A Training for Lightworkers".She has over 15 years experience of working with people, and has seen people grow from a place of being extremely fragile to discovering their true strength and purpose.

People come to her for different reasons. Some come for Counselling or Psychotherapy, some for primary light healing, if they have heard of it, or for Reiki. The Lightwork is part of all that she does. The incredible power of this new healing energy comes through everything she does. It adds to the effectiveness of Maureen's healing work as a Reiki Master and it makes counselling and psychotherapy many times more powerful.
